Truck Refurbishment Foreman

We need you to lead our Engineering refurbishment team of Fitter Welder & Fabricators on the workshop floor to carry out high-quality builds and repairs on various range of customer truck repairs and fabrication to NZTA standard.
Reporting to the Group Engineering Manager, this role will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations on the floor, coordinating staff on to projects, ensuring quality of workmanship, and mentoring staff to improve their skills and expertise. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, have good organisational and communication skills and be a natural leader who is open to change.
To be successful in this role, we will need you to have a customer focus, excellent organisation and time management skills, and a desire to make sure your people go home safe every day.
Your background and experience will probably include:
· A National Certificate in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering
· Experience in coordinating or leading a team in a workshop
· Ability and experience with reading and interpreting CAD drawings
· In-depth knowledge of the NZ Road Transport industry
· A clean full Class 1 licence – HT licence ideal but not essential
